Happy 2005 folks!
Well I have to say I had a rather fantastic one, me and Thomas went out big style, starting in George Square, heading to the Buff Club (which we were dragged out of by waring lesbians) then after a brief spell of drinking in the flat, I phoned one of my randoms and ended up at "The Warehouse" which is an illegal rave in the West End of the City! Then ended up at a party and didnt get home untill after mid-day. Thats SO the way to do it!
But now I am left re-evaluating what the hell I am doing with my life at the moment. I seem to have got myself itchy feet. I suppose the catalyst of these thoughts it the guy I met the other week (Alan). We got on incredibly well, and he told me to move to London and look for a job (thats where he is).
I wouldnt of course do this for a guy, but it did get me thinking. I am a qualified mortage advisor and jobs down there are rather well paid (i.e £50k) and I am sure with my track record in sales I would be able to get one.
So, what am I doing in uni doing a degree that at the end of the day won't actually get me any more money in the long term than just going and doing my current job down south now? What will I benefit from putting off moving when I would have to do that anyway if I went for jobs that my degree will offer me? In a year and a half when I would graduate, its very possible that my current qualifications could be out of date, and this option would be closed to me. Should I just finish this year, get the basic degree, and go then?
Who knows! (if someone does, please tell me!)
Oh well, I suppose I should go study for the exam I have on friday........
Yours confused as ever....
